Backup Friend

I wrote and illustrated this story based on my personal life experience.

I’ve always been a “backup friend” in my life — a quiet existence waiting for chances to care about random people. Through this story I introduced myself, and explored the theme of relationality through the eyes of a child. With experimental use of pastels I illustrated such a simple story that would make people chuckle.
